Tell us what drives you? What is your true passion in life?

I am success driven and I always challenge myself that whatever background disadvantage I had must not affect my future goals. I never blame anyone for my poor upbringing instead I use that to motivate myself to success against all odds

How did you find your passion and how old were you?

I was 18 and growing up with a single parent she mended my hospitality passion. My number one passion was IT which was beyond my mother’s affordability.

I ended up studying and fulfilling my passion for hospitality.

What about your passion appeals to you the most?

The love for the hospitality industry, meeting new people and creating opportunities and now IT within the hospitality and the ever-evolving trends in the industry

What drove you to make money from your passions?

Loving what I do and doing it best.

When was the first time you were paid for your passion?

When I was employed as a Room Attendant at Holiday Inn Harare in 1999 …… that was the birth of a star in the making through determination and perseverance.

What kept you going when you thought about giving up?

Resilience, Passion, Determination, Patience and never die attitude

What motivates you every day to be even more successful?

I am not in a competition with anyone, I run my own race at my own pace, I don’t look on my left either right to see how others are doing. There is a season and time for everything and I know my time will always come

What do you have to say to all of the people who doubted you?

I was told that I will be destitute for my entire life, but I was destitute for three days and I picked up the pieces and continued to build my puzzle.

The best is still to come so I wish those that doubted me a long life to see me flourishing. In my vernacular, they say if you kick a frog you think you are punishing it whilst you are actually helping it to cross.

What advice do you give to aspiring creatives who look up to you?

Never ever stop dreaming, the horizon is endless. You definitely sow today and reap tomorrow. The journey to success is littered with thorns, rocks, doubters, all sorts of discouragement, backstabbers, jealous, etc., but set your eyes on the goal and do not lose focus.
